Geocache Description:

We have all traveled a road which appears to have very little holding it in place and keeping it from sliding down the mountainside, it is with this in mind that I placed this cache.

This cache is located 17 km South of Lillooet on highway 12 this is a section of road which seems to defy gravity and is one where I am always glad to be past. I have had rocks fall on my vehicle as I passed through this section numerous times, and I don't believe I have ever passed through here without seeing some rocks coming down from above and nothing much has changed in the 40 years I have been traveling up this highway.

First: looking North from the pullout area - Second: looking South from past the slide area.

There is ample parking as you approach the slide area from the South to get out and stretch your legs and get a view of the mighty Fraser below, even at this point there is not much between yourself and the river below. There is no place to park on the North side of the slide area that is within decent walking distance to the slide and there are signs saying "no stopping slide area".

Texas Creek to the West entering the Fraser River.

To access the cache you will need to park on the pullout area on the South end of the slide and walk a very short distance to the cache. The cache is magnetic and you should have no trouble finding it.

THIS CACHE IS BIG RIG FRIENDLY - Please watch for traffic as you seek this cache.
