Looking forward to spending a quiet weekend in the mountains so we picked up the Adirondack Express and some rations and headed up to the cabin. We read about the new trail openeing ceremony to occur the next AM and had to go check it out. The city had a nice ceremony where they talked about the 5 year process to get the town connected with McCauley mountain above. You know, mountain time...

The planners discussed how good it would be to have a hiking trail where hunting was prohibited, thereby making a safe trail for families all year round.

Once the ribbon was cut, I had fun making my way all the way up to the chair lift. I met a number of townsfolk on a nice, but wet morning. On my return hike, the sky opened up and I got drenched. All the time, I was thinking how nice this trail would be for a cache. Well, here goes....

This is a puzzle cache. To find the physical cache, you must go to the following location:

N43 42. (A)(B-C)(D)
W74 58. (E)(F+C)(G)

Now, you could try to find the cache using some deductive reasonsing or you can use the extra waypoints to help you. You will find the numbers you seek at the following locations:

A: N43 42.406 W74 58.351
B: N43 42.192 W74 58.273
C: N43 42.326 W74 58.254
D: N43 42.031 W74 58.438
E: N43 42.378 W74 58.288
F: N43 42.046 W74 58.378
G: N43 42.101 W74 58.424

The cache is a small cammo'd container. I have secured it, so please don't try to remove the cache, just unscrew the cap.

Also, bonus points if you post a picture of you in the "thing" near the GZ that clearly doesn't belong here...

**You should also keep your camera handy because we saw a porcupine 15 ft up a tree a little further up the trail. Never knew porcupines could climb trees!**
