Finnley's Treasure Chest Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Jeansis on Adventure: Hi everyone,

Unfortunately the time has come to archive this cache. The buisiness next door has been sold and we currently see no easy way to adapt the hiding place of our cache. In the future there might be a new possibility near by, but until then we're archiving this cache.

Thanks everyone for the fun and fav points.

Geocache Description:

Beware: The location & hints have been changed lately and stealth is more than ever a must.

The above coordinates are a public parking area close by.

The cache can be found within 2 km of the parking area.
The cache is available 24/7 all year round and can now only be approached from the S/E. There is no need to walk through gates and/or hedges.

So you have been warned me hearties.

IMPORTANT: The Cache is now back online with a new hiding place. The new location is more exposed and stealth is a key word. Unfortunately the pirate ship is invisible from the new location, but the captain will keep an eye on the cache. Again, please use stealth and do not trespass past the gate and/or through hedges.

To find the correct coordinates you have to solve the following
puzzle to prove you truly are a Buccaneer:

1) The Historic PirateQuestion:

Which 3 famous pirates were knighted?

Write down the full names. Which letter re-appears in every part of every name? C = the letter's alphabetic value x 31 + 2

If you can’t track down the third pirate knight, you can work this with an educated guess by just 2
names ;-)

2) The Question for Young Pirate Cachers:

Name the Pirate Group that was outsmarted by “Jim Button”.

B = the reverse of the number in the name

Note: Dutch Buccaneers will know “Jim Button” as
“Jim Knoop” and with German Pirates “Jim Knopf” will ring a bell.

3) The Pirates Dance Question:

Which was the funniest pirate’s dance of the century (preformed by Captain Shakespeare)?

Multiply the 6 letter values and deduct 1008 = A

Finnley's Treasure Chest can be found at
Nº 52 13. A; Eº004 B. C

The new cache location can only be reached from the S/E side.

The owner of the parking area knows about the cache.
Not suitable for messages in a bottle, but other non-pirate messages can be posted in sight of the cache location.

If in doubt use the hints.

Good Treasure Hunting,
The Jeansis on Adventure
