Geocache Description:

PLEASE NOTE: THE COORDINATES ABOVE DO NOT TAKE YOU DIRECTLY TO THE CACHE. The coordinates above locate the first of the artsy moose statues that you must visit to solve this mystery cache. Public parking is available in the large lot across from the first moose, which is a good starting place and ending place for your mini moose-tery tour of downtown Bennington. The actual cache is a log only micro, so BYOP. Total walking distance is about a mile and a half.

The cache is hidden at:

N 42º 5A.BCD'
W 073º 1E.FGH'

Find the numbers that correspond to the letters by visiting each of the stations below. Print out this page to take with you, and enjoy your walk.

1st Moose Stop - Once in a Blue Moose: The total # of pears and apples on this moose = H

2nd Moose Stop – Mother Moose – Fairy Tales & Bedtime Rhymes: The # of flying mammals (not birds) painted on both moose = A

3rd Moose Stop – Pirate Jack Mooso & Ziggy the Hippy Pot-o-moose: The # of guns on Jack plus the # of black peace symbols (both kinds on Ziggy = C

4th Moose Stop – Herd of Moose?: The # of moose on both sidewalks that are within a 40 foot signal radius of the coordinates = F

5th Moose Stop – A Time for All Seasons: The sum of the last two digits of the date on the covered bridge (either side, they are the same) = D

6th Moose Stop – Just Your Garden Variety Moose: The difference between the number of pumpkins and the number of ripe purple eggplants painted on the moose = E

7th Moose Stop – A Day at the Office: The # of the date in April of 2009 that is printed at the top of the page on the rolled up newspaper in the moose's pocket = G

8th Moose Stop – Le Dejeuner Sur L'Elan: The total # of bottles on the large tables (both sides added together) on this moose's torso = B

P..S. While I know that the FTF seekers will likely drive from clue to clue, I set this up as a loop walk. Take your time and enjoy the pleasant stroll. Alternatively, a bicycle will get you around this loop about as fast as a car, and you won't need to worry about parking.

P.P.S. You can check your solution at geochecker.com by clicking on (visit link)

Enter the coordinates you've figured out and geochecker will tell you if you are correct. You only get three guesses per day, so make them count. Happy Hunting!
