based in and around the pretty village of Montecute. A short look around the village, followed by quite a walk up to saint michaels tower on the hill. good views from the top.
We suggest that you park at the Borough, which is in the centre of Montecute.
1. find somewhere you could take your horse for a drink... and note when the replica was comissioned = ABCD
also note how many shillings a week the farm workers got paid = EF
2. Now walk past a place where you can see your old playthings, until you see the Baptist Church...
How many stone clover shapes are there on the front wall = G
How many stone pillars are on the front of the building = H
3. Go to N50.56,B(F+G)D W002.43,(H-C)(H-A)(F-E)
On which date in December did the little angel fall asleep? = JK
leave where 'age is a quality of mind'
4. you now need to walk to N50.57,001 W002.43,(K-J)47
follow the path past the first style, keep walking around the hill until you reach the 'official' style with a NT sign for St Michaels Tower...
5.When you reach the tower you will need to know
how many bars there are on each of the windows around the top of the tower = L (one window only, dont add them together! )
and how many slit windows there are on the body of the tower = M
you do not need to go into the tower to answer these questions, but if you do the views are worth the climb.
AND ON TO THE CACHE!
