Le Villaret est un hameau de la commune de St Jean de Sixt même s'il parait plus près du Grand-Bornand que de St Jean de Sixt.
C'est à l'emplacement de l'actuelle chapelle qu'était la ferme des Favre dont l'un des fils vit le jour en 1506 et fut par la suite connu sous le nom du Bienheureux Pierre Favre ; il fut chargé par le pape de restaurer la foi catholique en Europe.
Pierre Favre avec Ignace de Loyola et 9 autres confrères est le fondateur de la compagnie de Jésus (Jésuites).
Seule la fontaine qui coule en contrebas de la chapelle fait le lien entre le passé et le présent, c'est cette eau qui a abreuvée le jeune Pierre durant son enfance.

Le Villaret is a hamlet of the village of St Jean de Sixt although it seems closer to the Grand-Bornand than t St Jean de Sixt.
On the precise place of the chapel was the Faber familly farm.
One of the sons was Peter who was born in 1506 and was later known as the Blessed Peter Faber, who was appointed by the Pope to restore the Catholic faith in Europe.
Peter Faber with Ignatius of Loyola and 9 other fellow, is the founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). Only the fountain that flows down below from the chapel is the link between past and present ; this liquid watered the young Peter during his childhood.
