A pleasant bush walk through undulating terrain of the historic Opepe Reserve. Learn the history of the logging settlement and battle with Maori as you find this cache. A short scramble is required to reach the cache.
This is a small plastic lunch box with a log book and variety of terrific treasures! We were entertained by a native owl (ruru or morepork) while we placed the cache. This is a really interesting area with lots of good history on either side of the highway. The cache is not far from the track. Have fun.
