This is a micro cache hidden on an island in Lake Keowee.
Recent (June, 2009) news reports tell of plans to bring a floating restroom to this lake; see above link to news article. In the words of the executive director of the Friends of Lake Keowee Society, “There’s anecdotal and visible evidence that people use, have used the islands as restrooms.” When I visited this island, I observed some of that visible evidence...
On the other hand, it's a nice little island, with its own bay, a beach, and a camping spot in the center. It's likely to have a family or two visiting on most hot summer weekend days.
This cache is a film canister that I picked up as a "Micro Cache Starter Kit" from another cache nearby. As placed, it is not visible! Refer to hint(s) if needed, and be sure to hide well when replacing.
