For our July meeting we head east to the Augusta area to join the
CSRA Geocachers for a Mid-July Ice Cream Social. The CSRA
GeoCachers have been wanting to host a GGA Meeting in their area
and have reserved a lovely spot poised on the shore of Clarks Hill
Lake. Be sure to bring a fishing pole! The Ice Cream Social will
take place from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, but the pavilion is rented for the
entire day, so plenty of time will be available for socializing
(and fishing) both before and after the meeting.
We will have some fun casual activities in store, including
"GGA/CSRA Calling" - the idea for which was shamelessly stolen from
the ever popular PodCacher broadcast. Come place your geonick in
the hat for a chance to be "interviewed" and become the next GGA
celebrity!
Early birds may also wish to note that there is a State Park
sponsored program from 9:00 to 10:30 am called "The Birds & the
Bees, and the Flowers & the Trees". This is a guided nature
walk on the Cliatt Creek Trail.
Hope to see everyone there! Please be sure to RSVP so we know
how many to plan for!

the listing deadline since it is a regular monthly meeting day.
