Remembering with Joy Traditional Cache

You should leave no geotrail on this well-packed, flat, pleasant woods trail. There were no mosquitoes tonight, either! The cache is less than 10' from the trail, sort of under a stump, with just a couple of sticks over it. It's a cammy Nalgene bottle.
I was originally planning to give each of our kids his/her own cache, even in ABC order. Something happened. Son One, Shane, and Cricket jumped out of order.
Son One's cache (GC1V241) was archived and replaced with Three Little Bears (GC29GNN). Middle Son celebrates his love for music in his cache (GC1VXY2). Shane's Sneaky Secret recalls areas he explored as a kid, without us knowing it (GC1VXY2). Our daughter still has to come up for a theme for her cache; she had originally suggested a book exchange, but even the best of caches can get soggy (bitten by a bear or wolf, not quite closed properly, etc.) and who wants to swag out a dripping book?
Cricket, 1971-2004, was an imp from the day we got her - always moving, often into mischief, and grinning the whole while! She had many unique gifts despite her handicaps and died unexpectedly at age 33. Her cache (GC1TTXK) celebrates her love for creepy crawly creatures. It has been archived and awaits replacement.
Alex, Billy Jr., and Mokey have ended up sharing a cache (this one). Alex - 1975-1980. I wanted this cache to be near the mountains she loved being carried up and down! She loved watching us bounce balls, so there's a superball in this cache. Alex also loved being wrapped up and watching the Northern Lights, so there's a new No. Lts. patch in this cache. There's a new lure for Billy Jr. (1974-1974) because I've always wished I could have helped him catch his first big fish. Mokey - 1968-2001 - loved playing with toy soldiers when he and Son One were cute little pre-schoolers, so there are a couple of those and an Army truck. Mokey needed a heart transplant; it did not happen in time. It intrigues me that two adopted children of the same mixed minority ethnicities would die at the same age from similar problems.
The cache also contains a log (in a medicine bottle), pencil, my trademark, and several other goodies - AND...
FTF - $10 worth of ice cream, just because all my kids love it. Better hurry before it melts out there!
I cleaned up every visible molecule of CITO, and there wasn't really much. The woods smell fresh and inviting tonight.
One of the Eagle Scouts from our troop did his Eagle project right here. We spent a whole week-end digging post holes and putting in all those posts - what a fun job! Although I loved working with everyone, a good bit of my job was sitting in the shade with our Scout's mom and drinking coffee and laughing! When you see a Boy Scout, thank him for his work and encourage him to complete his Eagle rank!
Way to go, Malcore - FTF! Thanks for looking!
