If you want to feel the heartbeat of Philo, population 1098, this is where the action is.
The Mendocino coast has long been a favorite place for my wife and I, and the drive from US101 to the ocean along Hwy 128 has also been a pleasure for almost 30 years. I was taken aback by the lack of caches along what is one California's more scenic routes so I placed this and two others today while driving home from a business visit.
This can be a quick grab or a short rest stop to enjoy the neighboring tasting room or local market. Please BYOP.
