This is a gold colored ammo can placed to honor GeoHiker55 1000th find on November 10th, 2008
In some areas, it's a tradition for someone to hide a gold painted ammo can to honor someone on the occasion of their one thousandth find.
On November 10th, 2008, GeoHiker55 joined the "thousandaires club" at GC1HMPW, "Welcome to York County" near Rock Hill, SC. Congratulations on your 1,000th find, may there be many more my friend.
The Golden Ammo Can is now in a winterized container to keep it dry. Please DO NOT take the Golden Ammo Can it is here for all to see. Be sure to replace all coverage to keep everything dry.
Update: July 24, 2016 - Someone DID take the Golden Ammo Can when I specifically said NOT TOO!!! :(
Please Do Not park in front of the trail. Park either alongside the road or at the following waypoint.
