Laurence Harbor Sunrise Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ericles: Picked up the cache today. The neighbor doesn't look like he's going to fix the fence any time soon - in face he's done some gardening in the through-way so I don't feel this one is a good spot for a cache at this time. Thanks to all who visited - especially those who came out at sunrise!

Geocache Description:

Potentially a cache-and-dash, but so very much more if you accept the challenge to only sign the log at sunrise.

The Location: Behold the Sunrise over the Raritan Bay! This small overlook is best reached from Seaglade Circle off of Blvd E in Laurence Harbor. Don't worry, this is a former beach access road. Approaching from the sand adds a few stars to the terrain! Once upon a time a house was located at the end of the 'road' here. The hurricanes of the 1950s and 1960s removed all trace. Now feel free to sit a spell on the conveniently located earthen mound and take in the glory of the daybreak.

The Hide: You gotta get up pretty early in the morning to log be FTF on this one! Because alternate logging requirements are outlawed, finding the cache at sunrise is only required to claim FTF. Sunrise when hidden: Roughly 5:35 AM. If I can do it, you certainly can! I'll expect photo evidence of your FTF claim. You are looking for a military surplus fuse can painted to match it's surroundings. The container is large enough for small swag, geocoins and small TBs. Please make sure to seal it properly after logging. The location does border private property on both sides but fences should hide you from neighborly scrutiny. Wait for day-break before trying to find the cache as flashlights would be too conspicuous. For less of a challenge, head North to this cache's sister hide, the Laurence Harbor Sunset Cache.
