This is the first of a few we intend to place on the Balmoral Bluffs trail system.
Directions: Approx. 9.3km East of Sorrento, or approx. 24 km West of Salmon Arm, turn North on onto Balmoral Rd. Follow for roughly 1.5km and watch for large parking lot on the right, just before Alpen Paradies subdivision.
Cache is a small In a camouflage painted lock and lock which contains a log and pencil - room for a few small trade items. Please make efficient use of log i.e front, back and sides of each page.
The Balmoral Bluffs trail system was created in 2008 to connect with the Blind Bay Lookout and White Lake trails systems. From the parking lot, there is a lower easy loop. At the top of this loop is a trail that goes up to the top of a ridge, which, at the end, overlooks Alpen Paradies subdivision, and Blind Bay. Continuing up from there, there are two ways up to the main connector trail between White Lake and Blind Bay. These can be done as a loop or as through-routes to the Blind Bay Lookout or White Lake.
