This cache is hidden on the Pine Mountain Trail. The cache will require a round trip hike in the 10 mile range. Come prepared for a hike of that magnitude. Bring plenty of water and be careful. Beware of your surroundings at all times. There are dangers on the trails including falls, dehydration, bears, etc.
The cache container is a 35mm film cannister and contains only a log sheet and a foreign coin for a FTF prize. This is a very long walk in and back out so I stress once again to be prepared. At one time, years ago I had four hundred acres from this location to about a mile on out the trail leased for deer hunting. I sat many hours enjoying the scenery and exploring the rock formations instead of hunting. When you get to the cache location and are sitting and signing the log take the time to stand, lean out by the tree and look left at the beautiful rock face. One of the few places on the PMT where you can do this. I stess once again that the Pine Mountain Trail can be a dangerous place because of its remote location and terrain features. Cache and hike at your own risk and preferably in the company of others.
