Another cache on the river run from Knight's Ferry, this one can be waded to at one of the access points. As near as I can tell, this is above the high water level. The public access points to this section of the Stanislaus are closed at night. Only electric motors and human powered craft are allowed between Horseshoe and Orange Blossom Recreation Areas.
The main channel drains to the far left from here (where the sign gives directions for the main channel vs. the landing here. If the water is high enough that the other channels look navigable, they aren't: paddle back to the main channel instead. The far right channel drains through a tangle of small trees, and the short cuts to the main channel result in the main current pushing you into berry vines hanging into the edge of the river. If you get caught in the vines and dump, the first place to haul out is nearly a half mile down river.
