The cache is located few meters from a small natural pool or hot
spring in northern Iceland. Its a good idea to park the car just by
the small creek (700 m from the cache) and walk the last few
hundreds meters. One way to find the location is to follow the
white pipe, the pool and the small village called Holar get their
hot water from this area. The last part of the road is bad,
basically a off road for jeeps and tractors. Altitude is: 238
meters.
The cache is located just by a hot spring area in northern Iceland,
just 8.5 km from a small village called Holar. You can park you car
by the small creek (Reykir Creek, see waypoint below) and walk from
there (its around 700 meters). If you decide to cross the river by
car, drive slowly and do not stop in the middle of the river. Along
the road you will see the old water pipe on the surface (white),
follow it and it will lead you to the location. Keep an eye on the
sheep, sometimes they walk on the road. The bishops pool is small
and not so easy to find if you don't know its there (diameter 2
meters)! The cache is 15 meters from the pool. Bring a towel if you
decide to pop in, but now its not very warm for normal bathing, but
it is nice to relax and let your feet in.
