Due to the success of our other cache near a roadside monument we thought this cairn marking the passing by of Major Thomas Mitchell in July 1836.
You can park just off the highway and find the cache near the monument, stretch your legs and then continue on your journey.
If you have a 4WD or car that goes off road you can drive around the monument on a rough track, but it is only a 20m walk from the highway parking.
