Geocache Description:

The cache is located in a bush setting at Marsfield Park. Marsfield Park covers an area of 12.5 hectares and is broken up into three main areas. The western section, adjacent to Vimiera Rd contains two sports fields. The eastern section, adjacent to Culloden Rd is open land that has been used by Ryde Pony Club since 1964. This area was previously a tip. Ryde Pony Club holds dressage, show jumping and cross country events here on a regular basis.

The area used by the pony club is also the Sydney home of Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA). An association whose objective is to provide most people with a disability, the opportunity to ride and enjoy all the activities connected with horse riding. Riding for people with a disability is both therapeutic and recreational and RDA is in fact one of the few organisations who offer a multi-diagnostic service, catering for people with a wide range of disabilities.

The area in between these two open sections contains a remnant turpentine-ironbark forest. The cache is located in this area.

The cache is best approached by parking in Culloden Rd. Park near the Epping Rd end as the northern end is metered parking. If you try to access it from Vimiera Rd you could probably increase the terrain rating to 3.

Please take care to return the cache to it's original position.
