We 'planted' this cache on July 4, 2009 under the Midnight Sun at 11:00pm...only in Alaska!
Geocaching has become a family affair and we are excited to hide this ammo box cache with our Alaska family, while we are visiting from Washington. It will be the beginning leg of our Moosequito Travel Bug, and we will anxiously watch his world wide travel adventures. The original swag represents a little of each of us. DDKoeb contributed a Washington State pin and a Geocoin that started in Yuma, Arizona, their “winter” home. From the Alaskans, HappyDogsAK, a dog travel bowl, and a WOOF bumper sticker. To represent where the journey began, very appropriately, an Alaska “Forget Me Not” pin.
This cache is easily accessible as you head south into Anchorage on the Glenn Highway. Take the Eagle River weigh station exit then take a hard right into the public parking lot.
