Geocache Description:

About halfway on the beautiful meadow trail that links the Rim Road (overlook) to the store at Woods Canyon Lake - 1.8 miles of paved trail total. It is really a nice spot - 7580' elevation!

My family and I love this place - it has been so much fun over the years riding the bikes or hiking with the kids after fishing, and such down this trail to the rim! The cache is placed on an "island" in a great little meadow along the trail (we've seen elk here many times). Please do not park on the road - many access points to the trail exist nearby. Pick one and enjoy your nice walk/ride into this location.
Please return cache as well as you found it - don't destroy the "spot"! I was getting a great deal of "bounce" while trying to average my coordinates... but you are a smart geocacher, I'm sure you'll figure it out!

Oh, the area is closed for the winter... make sure you contact the forest service to see when the roads close, and when they open up in the Spring!
