Geocache Description:

Though there is sidewalk to the cache, someone in a wheel chair would probably have difficulty getting to the cache.

I finally placed this one...History is just a few hundred feet off the freeway. Many items from the past can be found here.

The first one of these items was installed in 1889 at a bank.
By 1902 there were 81,000 of them in the US.
The first placement of these on a street rather in a hotel or business occurred in 1905 in Cincinnati, OH.
In the 1950's wooden ones were replaced with glass.
Originally the user paid for the use of this item at the front desk when their usage was complete.
Today, they are a rare sight.

CONGRATS TO ROTOROOTIE for FTF!!!
