Geocache Description:


In 1928 the Bonnie View Church opened its doors, free of debt and closed due to a dwindling congregation in 1958. The church is remarkable in that the members of the congregation provided all the labour and funding for construction; with their own perseverance and fund-raising, no money was used from the churches’ coffers. The congregation took pride in their resourcefulness but also in the workmanship in the building; even today the attention to detail is seen everywhere - especially in the main auditorium (only viewable when the church is open for special events such as weddings, etc.). It has been declared a heritage building, and is situated such that you also have an excellent view of the surrounding area including Lake Diefenbaker.
