Harry Potter Cache Series
HP1 - It all starts here.
Welcome to the Harry Potter Series!
Most of us have read the books or at least seen a movie or two
within this amazing series by J.K.Rowling. I want to take this
opportunity to thank my sister for suggesting the books to me and
my family for we have enjoyed them immensely.
For those you who embrace the ideology of Harry, my marauders map
leads me in the same direction. For those that do not, check out
the book The Wisdom of Harry Potter What Our Favorite Hero Teaches
Us About Moral Choices by Edmund M. Kern:
Imagination, in fact, is the single most important reason the
books are so popular, but it also proves to be Rowling’s best
defense against her adult detractors, regardless of their ideology.
Rowling writes a simple, fluid, and clever prose, and she
gracefully places Harry and his friends in ethical dilemmas
requiring them to think in complex ways about right and
wrong.
An excerpt from The Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling:
He turned back to Harry. “You’ll soon find out some wizarding
families are much better than others, Potter. You don’t want to go
making friends with the wrong sort. I can help you there.” He held
out his hand to shake Harry’s, but Harry didn’t take it. “ I think
I can tell who the wrong sort are for myself, thanks, “ he said
coolly. Draco Malfoy didn’t go red, but a pink tinge appeared n his
pale cheeks.
The above leads me to Aleksander Bologna (the right sort) who is a
rising senior at Holy Trinity and as an Eagle Scout decided to
propose, and has accomplished, the restoration of the
J.N.Tucker/Shady Oaks Cemetery along US. 1 in Melbourne. He found a
need and filled it along with volunteers and a great sense of
purpose. I would make friends with this guy any day. It still has a
way to go, but I believe the starting point sometimes is the
hardest hurdle.
There are 29 veterans buried in this small cemetery so please be
respectful and remember the vets as you make your way to the final
destination.
First to find will discover a gift certificate to use at a local
theatre to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, opening July
15th. You’ll find us in line at midnight.
