Vicpark #2: A tree fort in our yard Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

thebruce0: Saddened to say, I'm putting this one, my oldest still active cache, to rest. The tree is no longer anything like when it was placed, and so it's time to change it up a bit...

Geocache Description:

This tree has been here, aging, and slowly crumbling under its weight, as long as I've lived in the area. It collapsed after a major storm hit in summer 2013. There are remnants of wood steps attached to the tree, which implies it was occasionally climbed by muggles, but the container is hidden up, up and away.
Please make sure the cache is connected and wrapped, and firmly secure!
Also, please be careful - there may be protruding nails in some places along the tree.

Logbook only, please take your own writing utensil.

Congratulations stephiebee26, who proposed to LostLeftShoe here on August 24, 2010 - and his answer was "Yes!" Hope you have a wonderful life together! :D

This cache is the last remaining of my 'Vicpark' series of caches in and around Victoria Park. If you're in town visiting the various events that occur here, please enjoy whatever caches are available!
  • Given the nature of the high muggle traffic in the area, each cache should be approached with caution and stealth.
  • Please respect the park and its patrons.
  • CITO opportunities abound all around!
  • Take a walk around the park, enjoy the landscape and nature. There are numerous paths and trails around the perimeter and along the water's edges.
  • Pets, families, bikes, all welcome. During the summer the water park is open for children as well. There's drinking water and public restrooms available, and a lake-side muggle restaurant that shall not be named which rhymes with "coat mouse" often sells food and condiments from a side window.
  • Oh, and please don't feed the birds!
And because it's worth saying again: Every cache should be approached with caution and stealth, and please respect the park and its patrons.
