Geocache Description:

Part of a series of caches which can be done as a nice wee circular walk through the Dean Forest plantation near Dunfermline, which is included in the BBC breathing places campaign.

The Dean Plantation is an old established woodland, It has an attractive mix of conifers and large areas of broadleaved woodland. There are some very old impresive oak trees in this plantation. The plantation entrace can be found on lundin road where there is a small lay-by that has space for two/three cars.

The forest is popular with walkers and mountain bikers so beware when replacing the cache. When placing these caches we saw two deer and a very large buzzard only feet away from us.

Please take care as this forest does have steep drops but all caches are placed very near to the main paths.

Our Gps was very erratic when we were in this forest so we hope the clues help.

Thanks to Jenny at the forestry commission for permission and encouragement to place these caches.
