For a long time now Mrs WP has been looking to find a way to get Mr WP to go for a walk that didn't involve a golf club. She tried different avenues including glorious ridge walks, stunning valleys, gentle rambles with a pub at the end and spring time strolls through cherry orchards but none of these seemed to provide the same attraction as a frustrating walk up Coombe Hill with a heavy golf bag on his shoulder.
When we moved to the Bristol suburbs, Mr WP had the opportunity for a short roadside walk to the nearest golf club and Mrs WP thought that maybe she was going to see more of Mr WP during the golf season given the shorter journey required. We explored our new surroundings and fought our way up past Cherry Orchards to take in the views of Westbury-on-Trym but still Mr WP would not give up his favourite golf club.
Then last Christmas we received a GPS receiver and without any warning the whole family got the geocaching bug but particularly Mr WP. He can now be seen on any day of the week going for a walk and quite possibly there will not be a bunker or golf hole in sight. We have now explored many parts of Bristol that we have never been to before including many cycle paths (being very pushchair friendly) and many great parks to keep Toddler WP happy.
One such place we had never visited before were the nearby cottages at Blaise Hamlet but the hunt for a geocaching clue took us there. We also do a lot of roadside cache and dashes. They may not be the most interesting caches but this has given us a fail safe way of getting both little WPs to sleep in the car! Mrs WP knows that Mr WP has got the bug badly because on a day off with both the little WPs at nursery on Henbury Hill we decided to spend the day goecaching and the golf club did not get a mention all day!
Mrs WP would like to give her heart felt thanks to all those fellow cachers out there who take the time to place new treasure. The family is having so much fun and it doesn’t involve a golf club!
Although the information needed to solve the puzzle is available on the golf course, it is also available via the internet - just not on the obvious website!
There is also no need to set foot on the golf course to retrieve the small micro/large nano cache, which is just off a nearby public footpath. Other than dodging vegetation, access to the cache is flat from the footpath.
Please be gentle with the container and just unscrew the lid rather than pulling it out. There is only room for the log book so please bring a pencil.!

(In case you haven't already worked it out, the hint should help with both the puzzle and the find. That said, if you correctly interpret the puzzle clue, you are advised to do finalise the puzzle using an internet search rather than obtaining the physical representation as that has been changed and no longer includes the vital info...)
16.3.12 note - Having double checked the availability of the necessary information on the internet, it doesn't appear to be where it used to be and I can't find it in the form it used to appear. However, as we're quite fond of this puzzle, we're keeping it going.
