Since we started caching every trip we have taken has been enhanced by the sport. On one trip we did not find a single cache - The cache found us. Here's the story.
"Muddling Around" was placed by Lumpy77 in North Aurora, Il in August of 2006. It was a 2/5 multi. It was last found in June of 2007. Floods that summer devastated the area and carried away the cache. In 2009 it was found floating in the Mississippi River. The finder took it to a memorial service in central Iowa where I recognized it as a cache and agreed to research its history. By cross checking logs in the cache and online I identified the cache and notified the owner. The original cache id was GCXG42.
This spot where I chose to place it has only recently had a nearby cache archived and I thought it needs a cache.
The log, container and some trade items are the originals.
