Geocache Description:

One of the 17 Grand Covered Bridges in Ashtabula Co.

A 114-foot Town lattice built in 1868. Root Bridge crosses over West Branch Ashtabula River on Root Road, Monroe Twp, Ashtabula Co.
It was raised 18 inches during the rehabilitation in1983, and new laminated girders and a center concrete pier were added.

It is open to to traffic.

The cache is near a nice pull off area---not on Root Bridge.
