Geocache Description:

This is a second cache celebrating the industrial heritage of the Cwmbran area. The cache is best approached from the 14 locks canal visitors centre

This is a second cache celebrating the industrial heritage of the Cwmbran area. It follows on from Tramway Teaser and takes you through a number of the Fourteen locks required to get from Cwmbran down to Newport, at the moment the locks and the canal are totally unnavigable, but a visit to the Fourteen Locks visitors centre will hopefully show you more of the past, and a few hopes for the future, maybe one day it will all be open again. The cache was set under the instance of two young children who after coming out on a couple of caching expeditions felt the wanted to set one for themselves and this is a nice spot with ample parking (at the visitors centre) and tea, coffee and light snacks available. From the visitors centre following the canal towpath will get you most of the way there!
