Another matmob wedgie.
The Pioneer Garden was established in 1956, but consecrated in 1855 as the Anglican Cemetery.
The earliest interment was John Glanville who died at nearby Macaw Creek on 6/6/1855 aged 13, and the last burial was that of Mary Plew of Undalya who died in 1906 aged 86.
Included in the recorded burials are 93 children under 15, with a further 25 children whose burial was never recorded but are believed to have been buried here.
Life was tough for our pioneers – we have so much to be thankful nowadays.
Do have a look around the garden and enjoy the serenity.
Please re-cover the cache carefully – it’s not a particularly good hiding spot.
