Poohism

“Hallo, Eeyore!” said Roo.

Eeyore nodded gloomily at him.“It will rain soon, you see if it doesn’t,” he said.

Roo looked to see if it didn’t, and it didn’t.

This letterbox hybrid is the second in the Hundred Acre Wood series.

Cache is hidden on the KC Riverfront Heritage Trail. Parking for this cache is available at the waypoint below in this listing on the Western side of the bridge.

We do not recommend spending time in the West Bottoms after dark.

Letterboxing 101 -- Just a stamp, inkpad, logbook, and pencil. This is an easy find. WE WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE YOU USING YOUR OWN STAMP IN ADDITION TO SIGNING THE LOG. You can get stamps and inkpads from arts and craft stores. Seasonal stamps are often less than a dollar. We will be taking photos of the nicer stamps in the logs and posting them to this listing's gallery.

Use the stamp in the box to stamp your logbook/journal or whatever. LEAVE THE EEYORE STAMP, the inkpad and the logbook in the cache. Take only your stamp, your journal and, if you have one, your inkpad.

OLD SCHOOL LETTERBOX CLUES:

1.) From parking area, walk along sidewalk to cluster of road signs for highways and stop signs. cross the street.

2.) Proceed to entry of bridge, marked with two vintage bicycle scupltures on either side.

3.) Walk past both lamp scupltures on either side of you.

4.) Walk past the River Goddess scuplture holding aloft the skeletal figure.

5.) Be sure to wave at Eeyore's pet beaver as you walk by.

6.) Watch out for the serpent above the box as you pass him by. You may have to bribe him with a snack.

7.) Pass the sculpture of the river's edge - that's Eeyore's scenic view.

8.) Be sure and check out the weather vane scuplture as you pass it by.

9.) If you're lost, just look at the convenient map; then keep on your paved path.

10.) Be mindful not to knock over the blue and white yard art as you get much closer to the end.

11.) Pass beyond the paired bicycles and follow the black and silver wire fence to its end by a tall green pillar on your right side.

12.) The entry sign says "Sorry". He's in the corner green high-rise.
