Memories of the Houghton County Streetcar Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

-Rusty-: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

See where the old streetcars come to die. OK, not all, but at least one. How it got here is anyone's guess.

You can start by getting on the DNR snowmobile trail off Gas Plant Road, or from behind Laurium, take the Mayflower/Old Colony Road. Either way, you'll find a nice 2-track trail. Look for a small tupperware-type container with a logbook. Bring a pen/pencil. Here's a link showing some other Copper Country streetcar memories: (visit link)
Finally, enjoy the view of the Traprock Valley below!
