Geocache Description:

A good-sized cache to celebrate graduation from CSUEB!!!

After participating in the graduation ceremony very near this spot a few weeks ago, I have been itching to place a larger cache here! It is an ammo can full of good stuff!

To get close, you have a few options:

1. Come on a weekend and parking at the football stadium lot on the way up the last hill before the campus loop road is free and not enforced.

2. OR, you can try to find a spot across the street on Carlos Bee (steep hill) in front of the City View apartments and walk over. If you take this second option, BE VERY CAREFUL CROSSING THE ROAD!!! I cannot stress this enough! You will find a semi-hidden trailhead that goes off to the right near a lightpost with a directional sign attached.

3. OR, a third option is to park on Bunker Hill and climb up the hill near the boarded up house and get to the trail. In any case, the trail will get you very close to the cache. The last 15 feet to the GZ are steep and dry grasses can be slippery, be cautious.

OPTION THREE IS MY PREFERRED ROUTE. Although the hillside streets are a bit tortuous and convoluted, just check a map or satellite view to find the correct series of turns to get where you want to be!

Original cache contents are too numerous to list, but include a log book and two pens in a ziploc, a stash note attached to the lid, The Frog Pond (a collection of my signature frogs from tiny to pretty large), three travel coins (take one AND leave one, I want to keep some travelers here if possible at all times to add interest), a special CITO ready-made micro, assorted trade items (some of my own and some collected from other caches), and a disposable camera for you to take a picture of yourself and your caching party (please leave in the cache, when it is full I will develop and post pics in cache photo gallery).

Should be an easy find, the purpose of this cache is to celebrate (not frustrate). Good Luck and...

Happy Caching!

Congratz to Shazam for the FTF!

Update 8/3/09: Visited the cache and dropped off three TBs. I will reiterate previous message: If you take a TB or travel coin, leave a TB or travel coin, please. I would really like to keep a few TBs and coins in this one for trade! Thanks for your help in keeping this cache an attractive destination!
