Geocache Description:

Four Hundredth in the Famous People (FP) Series - Viola

Viola is a fictional character from the play Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare written ~1600. The title Twelfth Night, prepares the audience for its jovial feel of festivities consisting of drink, dance, and giving in to general self-indulgence (I know it worked that way with me).

She is a young woman of Messaline who is shipwrecked on the shores of Illyria at the beginning of the play.

When Viola finds herself separated from her brother, and in unfamiliar territory she secures the assistance of the ship’s Captain, who really has an over indulging attraction to crepe myrtle trees, in disguising her true nature. The Captain agrees to keep silent about her disguise as a male and aids in her deception.

While disguised as a boy Viola goes by the name Cesario. When disguised, kind of like this small plastic tube, she seeks employment in the house of Duke Orsino, an older love sick man who covets the Lady Olivia.

She serves the Duke by carrying messages, like a tightly rolled log with a string glued to it, to the woman he is infatuated with, Lady Olivia. This places Viola in a conflicted situation, she is forced by duty to do her best to plead Orsino’s case to Olivia, however she encounters a conflict as she herself falls in love with Orsino – and Olivia falls in love with her!

Viola, a name that is similar to one near this cache, perplexed by the problems this presents her with, both moral and ethical, decides to let fate unravel these problems for her.

NOTED: Container is not replaceable and cannot put a lid on it. D rating most definitely easier now but not going to change it in respect to those who found it in its original hidden camo.
