Geocache Description:

This is another one of our themed caches, based on famous people from various towns. This is kind of a multi-cache in a way. Coords will take you to this famous persons grave (look for WWII grave marker) but then you'll need to find cache about 80 feet away travelling ESE. Or just look for the 2 large trees forming a "V". THE ZIPLOCK BAG ON GRAVE IS NOT THE LOG BOOK BUT A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM FAMILY, PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB.

Cache is a 2 qt 10" container full of trades and a geocoin. There is a log book but forgot to put a pen in so please BYOP. Please watch for muggles and cover well. Watch out for nearby poison ivy.
Although cache is away from any graves, please be respectful of the area and absolutely no night caching. Cemetary closes at 9pm.

Now....about this famous person:
He was born Dec 25, 1924 in Syracuse, NY raised in Binghamton, NY, and died in Rochester June 28, 1975 at age 50. His family had a summer place on Cayuga Lake. He was an army paratrooper and demolition specialist and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star after being injured during combat in WWII. Although only 5'4'' in height, he was a noted boxer. What he was mostly known for came from his wartime experiences and nightmares. He also wrote many other television shows and screenplays including co-writting "Planet of the Apes" in 1968. You'll be surprised with the list of his accomlishments. He also won 6 Emmys for his work.
He died after his 3rd heart attack while at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY, and was buried here. This area was shown in some of his work.
After finding his grave and you still don't know who he is then you must be living in the Twilight Zone.
