Geocache Description:

Today is a very lucky day, July 8, 2009, or 7-8-9, to hide a few geocaches. You have been granted three wishes. All you have to do is find a wishing tree, close your eyes and make a wish. Then it is up to Mother Nature if it will come true. By the way, a wishing tree is just something I made up as I enjoy hiking with friends or family in the wilderness. It is just a tree that started as one, but then split off as two, so it looks like a wishbone.

Make a Wish #2 at Little Blue River is near where I learned how to skip rocks across the surface of the water. After you find the wishing tree, you are looking for a hide-a-key, but it is not a traditional little black box. It is a rock! Please bring your own pencil and hide the rock as you found it.

In January 2007, the city of Fairbury opened a one mile trail based off the railroad bridge by the Little Blue River Dam. Take the time to enjoy the beauty while standing on the bridge. Or get some light exercise by walking or biking the loop. The cache will be found about 50 feet off the trail, right on the bank of the river.

My final words for you are from a Rascal Flatts song called My Wish. “My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to. That your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small.”
