Going Nowhere Fast (Foxton) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

status quo: As this cache has been out of action for too long and the cache owner has not responded or performed any maintenance, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to un-archive it.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

A nice easy nano outside the Foxton museum. (Accuracy of GZ coords +/- 3m).

The engine that 'Palmerston' built especially for the Foxton line. The original wooden rails were replaced inn 1874 with iron ones. The engine pulled both passenger cars and freight wagons and travelled through the main street of Foxton.

The engine is directly in front of the Foxton museum. The museum is open from 2pm-4pm on Sundays.

The original (micro)cache had been muggled twice in the old location, so it is now a nano in a slightly different location. Please use EXTREME stealth when retrieving the cache as you are very visible and there are some very vandalous muggles around. Please re-hide the cache exactly as you found it, as we don't want it to go missing.
