This area, rich in history, has a great county museum and dinosaur fieldhouse. History ranges from the Native American Plains dwellers , the trapers and fur traders, to the coming of the large sheep and cattle companies. The coming of the railroad bought in the Pioneers . The Pioneers endured much heartache and trials over the years but perservered. The Great Train robbery by the Kid Curry Gang at Wagner, Montana was soon to follow. Had it not been for the stamina and forsight of the Pioneers, this would not be the great county and area it is today.
