Geocache Description:

Magnetic. SAVE GAS, Walk the Park!

Time brings many changes. The area where this series of caches is located has changed dramatically over the years and most recently with the addition of a paved and wood chip trail along Addison Creek called The Midland Trail

Long ago.......

I remember the Automatic Electric company that served the community with many jobs. Now, manufacturing plants are at the western most edge of this strip of land which runs from Golfview Dr. to East Fullerton Ave. AND playgrounds, ball fields, volleyball, tables and pavilions, art work and a Challenge Course are nestled between the companies and the meandering Addison Creek. Addison Creek is a tributary of Salt Creek and travels 10 miles south and east from its beginning point in Bensenville through Northlake, Westchester, and on.....until it drains into Salt Creek and the DesPlaines River.

Now for the Cache Series. There are 5 Traditional caches along the Midland Trail and in the Center Point Preserve. The 6th cache in the series is a Puzzle cache which will take you to the Final!

This is a family-friendly and "dog-friendly" (leashed) series with plenty of room to run and play, stop off for a snack or a swing at one of the playgrounds. At certain times of day this park can be very busy so please use "stealth" when retrieving and returning the cache.

*Please use caution with children around water and at street crossings.
