Easy walk through Anna's Ranch grounds.
The girls of Waimea Girl Scout Troop 780 have placed this cache, with the permission of Anna's Ranch to help educate people about this wonderful woman and what she has brought to the community. The cache begins with travel bugs from each of the girls in the troop so that they can begin to learn about who visits the area and places throughout the world that their unique bug travels.
Anna Ranch Heritage Center is a former cattle ranch in Waimea, Hawaii County, Hawaii. The ranch began in 1850, and was inherited by Anna Leialoha Lindsey Perry-Fiske in 1939. Atypically for the time, she managed the ranch until her death in 1995. The preserved ranch house and outbuildings have become a historic house museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008
Just a note: After a couple "ranch closed" posts. I have talked with the director of the museum, and there is a gate town side of the parking lot gate that you can walk through and check the grounds (park on the side of the road).
