Be sure to check out the nearby historical marker and read up on this 100+ year old publication. Unfortunately the marker does fail to mention one of the more notable publishers in the Herald's history--Frank Mayborn, who in his 30+ years of service did much to develop not only the Herald but many institutions in Bell County.
