How many historic buildings are here? The Dibble House was built in 1859, and so it shares a birthday with the State of Oregon – they turned 150 this year! The neighboring Von der Ahe House was built in 1869, and was moved to this location from Carus (a few miles north of Molalla), where it served as a stagecoach stop; its barn still stands and is visible from the highway. And next to the two houses is a museum, whose recent construction includes a number of elements from the old high school, which was located just down the street. The site is operated by the Molalla Area Historical Society; for information on the hours of operation, contact the Molalla Area Chamber of Commerce (www.molallachamber.com).
The cache is available at all times; parking is available on Metzler Avenue (one block west of Molalla Ave.). The container is a smallish lock-n-lock.
