previous caches i decided to make this a multi. First stage is at
the posted coordinates. It's a micro containing the N and W seconds
only. I also made the final it's own cache so anyone who has found
this one already can log another find. GL
Rocky Point Seaside TB Resort
This spot holds many fond
memories for us, We came here on our Honeymoon in 1998, we've had
family reunions, along with numerous camping trips with family and
friends. Another really fond memory includes, the second cache we
found, the now archived
Rocky Point cache was located in this area.
We found it last year (2008) on our camping
trip to Patrick's Point with ISW and MTDone families, our first
find was on the way here the day before at another great cache near
Hayfork,
CA. Those early caches really got our families hooked. We were
disappointed to see the original Rocky Point Cache go, but thought
we could remember it with a little something extra.
The Starting Point for
our families
Coast to Coast Travel Bug
Race
.
The plan is for all our Travel Bugs to start at the same time, in
the same cache by the Pacific Ocean.
The goal is to race to the East Coast, first one to the Atlantic
Ocean wins.
It will be exciting for the whole family to watch the action as
fellow cachers move them along closer to their goal.
All Travel Bugs are welcome to visit this
cache on their journeys.
They can kick back, relax and enjoy the view while they await their
continuing adventures.
The cache is located in Patrick's Point State Park. There is a
small entrance fee for a day use pass if your not camping there.
It's a great park and well worth the entrance fee. Cache is at
Rocky Point. Park at the Wedding Rock/Patrick's Point parking lot.
Follow the trail south from the parking area to the Rocky
Point.
Trail has become somewhat overgrown, but is still easily followed.
Cache is located the along the trail and away from the steep
cliffs. The cache was placed with seven kids 10 and under so it is
kid friendly. There are cliffs nearby so be sure watch the
children.
Enjoy the view and cache.
