Ranger Rock Traditional Cache
Moosebones: This cache is located within in the Lookout Ridge Fire on the Willamette National Forest. All entry to the area is closed for an indefinite time. Because of the Cache location it is highly probable that it has been destroyed. I will not know for sure until such time the area is reopened and I am able access the cache site. Until the actual cache condition is determined archiving seems to be the best course of action.

Follow Forest Service Trail (Frissell) from either end to UTM 10 T 0570290m, 4894908. At this point let the search begin. The route is a delightful mix of moderate to downright steep. The last 200 meters requires attention to the rough terrain.
The cache is a cameo water bottle tucked neatly in the rocks. Inside find log and pencil, along with 5 pins and a carabiner. The views of the upper McKenzie Valley are magnificent with the Three Sisters, Mt. Bachelor, along with the Husband and Wife peaks on the eastern horizon.
