A circular walk in Forestry Commission woodland, passing over a stream with a small waterfall.
Coming out of Ruthin, the road (B5105) in the direction of the Clocaenog Forest soon reaches the Cross Keys pub, immediately before which a narrow little lane forks left. Follow this lane in the direction of the tiny village of Efenechtyd. The Forestry Commission car park is along this lane on the right. Rhyd y Gaseg means 'The Mare's Ford'.
The woodland itself has oak, ash, cherry, elm, poplar & hazel along the stream valley, with towering Douglas fir on the higher ground The beech trees along the upper edges near the B5105 turn a beautiful golden brown in autumn. There is a circular walk from the Forestry car park, with the option of going directly down the middle logging trail.
The cache is a tupperwear sandwich box in a green camo bag.
