We tried to visit Robinson Butte Lookout, but the gate was locked! It may only be open when the lookout is manned during lightning storms.
To find this cache take Forest Service Rd 37 to Rd 3730 - across from Big Elk Guard Station. Go .2 mile and turn on Rd 050. From here it is a mile to the gate and the cache site. Road is rocky, but passable in most vehicles.
You are looking for a Costco nut container filled with trade items. The GPS was jumping around some due to the trees and cloud cover. Terrain is based on a very short, but steep climb. The hint should get you right to the cache. Please rehide upright so it will survive the snowy winters.
