Tjuvsundsberget
Description
On the top of Tjuvsundsberget there are a couple of buildings, the former "radio connection center", a water tower, several masts for TV, radio and mobile phones, but above all there is a magnificent view.
The operation of the "radio connection center" was ended in May 2005 after over 40 years of service for the sea traffic. It was used for lookout over the coast of Bohuslän and for radio kommunication with ships.Nowadays the coast is guarded with computer screens from other places. The "radio connection center" is now used by "Kungshamns Hembygdsförening" and is called "Sjömärket". It can be rented for smaller parties.

The view from Tjuvsundsberget is splendid. At clear weather Måseskär can be seen in the south and Väderöarna in the north. Besides there is a fine view over the archipelago outside Kungshamn with for instance the Hållö island with the lighthouse. Two information boards point out the names of different islands and places.

Uppe på Tjuvsundsberget finns en samling byggnader, den f.d. sambandscentralen, ett vattentorn, flera master för TV, radio och mobiltelefoni men framför allt har man härifrån en hänförande utsikt.
Sambandscentralens verksamhet lades ned i maj 2005 efter över 40 år i sjöfartens tjänst. Centralen användes för utkik över Bohuskusten och radiokommunikation med fartygen.
Numera bevakas Bohuskusten via datorskärmar från andra platser. Sambandscentralen har övertagits av Kungshamn Hembygdsförening och kallas numera för Sjömärket. Sjömärket går att hyra för mindre fester.

Utsikten från Tjuvsundsberget är magnifik. Vid klart väder kan man se till Måseskär i söder och Väderöarna i norr. Dessutom har man en fin överblick över övärlden utanför Kungshamn med bl.a. Hållö fyr. Två orienterinstavlor pekar ut vad de olika öarna och platserna heter.
