Als "zua'groaste" Mühlviertler kennen wir die Landschaft und
ihre Orte natürlich wenig. Unser Hobby Geocaching hat uns aber
schon oft an Orte gebracht, die wir unter normalen Umständen wohl
nie zu Gesicht bekommen hätten.
Unsere Mini-Serie "Center of the World" thematisiert daher kleine
Ortschaften im Mühlviertel, die (außer Einheimischen) vielleicht
nicht ein jeder kennt.
Dingdorf ist einer von 26 Ortsteilen der Gemeinde Neumarkt im
Mühlkreis und gehört somit zum Bezirk Freistadt. Der Ortsteil liegt
nordöstlich des Hagenberger Ortsteils Schmiedsberg und westlich des
Neumarkter Ortsteils Schiernersdorf. Dingdorf hat eine eigene
freiwillige Feuerwehr, die jährlich das in der Region bekannte
Dingdorfer Hüttenfest veranstaltet.
Die Zufahrt erfolgt von der A7 kommend über die B310 von
Unterweitersdorf Richtung Freistadt. Noch Götschka zweige Richtung
Kefermark ab, kurz danach zweige wiederum rechts ab und Du gelangst
über Au nach Dingdorf. Alternativ kannst du von Hagenberg über
Veichter und Schmiedsberg Dingdorf erreichen oder aus Richtung
Gutau über Mahrersdorf und Schmiedsberg anfahren. Google Maps hilft
Dir dabei.
As incomers to the Mühlviertel we don't really know the region
and its places. Our hobby geocaching has often brought us to
locations we would never have seen otherwise.
Our mini-series "Center of the World" features small villages in
the Mühlviertel which not everybody (except locals) might know.
Dingdorf is one out of 26 districts of Neumarkt im Mühlkreis. It
belongs to the district area of Freistadt. Dingdorf lies northeast
of Hagenberg's district Schmiedsberg and west of Neumarkt's
district Schiernersdorf. Dingdorf has its own auxiliary fire
brigade which hosts the yearly "Dingdorfer Hüttenfest".
When coming from highway A7 you can reach Dingdorf via
Unterweiterdorf and the B310 to Freistadt. After Götschka turn
right towards Kefermarkt, then turn right again and you will reach
Dingdorf via Au. Alternatively you can travel from Hagenberg via
Veichter and Schmiedsberg or via Mahrersdorf and Schmiedsberg when
coming from Gutau. Google maps can help you.
Der Cache / The cache
Der Cache ist ein traditional mit Größe "small". Wahrscheinlich
wird hier nicht viel los sein, da aber das Gebäude der Freiwilligen
Feuerwehr Dingdorf in unmittelbarer Nähe ist, solltest Du trotzdem
Vorsicht walten lassen. Bitte achte darauf, dass Du den Cache
wieder gut versteckst. Bitte behandle den Ort, an dem der Cache
liegt, mit entsprechendem Respekt.

The cache is a traditional container size small. You won't
likely face a huge crowd here but since the building of Dingdorf's
auxiliary fire brigade is nearby you should be careful not to be
spotted. Please take care that you re-hide the cache properly.
