The coordinates are for the parking area. Find your way from there. Most of the purple puddingstone, sandstone and shale on Bearfort Mountain cleaves in horizontal and vertical lines. This spot must have been subject to an earthquake millions of years ago. Most of the rock here projects diagonally. A truly strange spot.
